Progression Days - Langdon School, 2010

Joe Adams, Assistant Site Manager attended two of the Langdon School progression days recently - this involved getting a class of year 8 pupils interested in working life and help them start thinking of the GCSE subjects they would like to take.

"The feedback from them was great and was both a great learning experience for the students and myself. If you ever have the option of being a volunteer I highly recommend it."
Apprentices & Graduates

MPG were pleased to recruit two local apprentices from Newham to undertake the new industry Cold Steel Framework Apprenticeship scheme organised by ConstructionSkills.

Supporting our local University in Hertfordshire, MPG recently sent two of their graduates on to the 'Stepping in to Leadership' management programme. It involved attendance at three two day workshops and gave the graduates a chance to mix with others at a similar stage of their career. The course received great feedback and learning from the programme has been evidenced back in the work place.

This involved a number of national businesses including MPG, tasking children from five local schools to produce solutions to challenging and fun activities. These activities included the construction of a paper bridge which had to be designed to support coins, and producing a parachute to ensure an egg did not break when dropped from a height of 2 meters.
